Ok, finally got Project 2 uploaded with the Angel ftp link last night. I'll try to post a link to the pdf on here later, but in the meantime, here are some thumbnails.
wow, love your project! How did you get the scroll background? I really wanted to a sort of cave (for prehistoric art) backdrop but just couldn't figure it out. I am impressed by your technical skills... I got so frustrated because I had so many ideas but just couldn't get them to work. Kudos on a great project!-- stacey g
I must say this is an impressive slideshow. I don't even know what question to ask first in order to know how you did this. This is one of the best that I've seen. I couldn't figure this project out for the life of me. I got so frustrated with this program. The research part was easy. It was the figuring out InDesign that took up soooo many hours for me. Excellent Job!!
Stacey - I'm a big cheat, LOL! I think I googled images for papyrus to find the background...try googling "cave background" under google images. Not always royalty-free images, but we're not selling these particular projects, so no worries. www.istockphoto.com has some good images too.
Brian - Don't think for a second this was easy! I pulled out most of my hair, and there are still several things I'd change if I wanted to spend any more time on this. I learned a little about InDesign 6 years ago, which helped, but I used a lot of Photoshop for this project. Any questions, just ask away...I'm happy to share anything I've learned, if there's a chance it will save anyone else the hours I've spent on it - life is too short to learn complicated software!! (except I kinda like doing it) ;-)
I'm a small business owner, part-time stepmom to a cool 7 year old girl, full-time mom to a bird, several koi, and a frustrated cat. My daily life is a continual source of amusement for my husband.
